Errol Blackwood was born in the Accompong (Maroon) Hills of Jamaica. He moved to Toronto Canada at an early age where he learned to play the Bass Guitar. He played with several bands in Ontario doing a mixture of RNB, Rock and Funk. His love for music comes from a variety of sources, from the church of his father who was a pastor, the Nyahbingi Drummers, the School music drama concert and the Jukebox playing from Country to Rhythm n Blues.

Errol began his solo career with the release of his four songs EP.

1987: EP titled "Chant, Chant" and a video titled "Special Effect."

1988:  Cover song Single release and video: "Give Peace a Chance.

In 1990 Errol's first-full-length album titled Warrior.

1993 Video released Irie Dread from Warrior Album

1994: followed by second CD titled "Waking up the Dream."

1994 Video released: Arrested from Waking up The Dream CD

2000: A collection of his songs, titled Roots and Lovers Collection.

2003: Full-length CD is titled: "Rastaman Say"

2007: FULL CD Titled: Familytree  CD
